Drug De-addiction and Rehabilitation

At Sun Foundation, we are committed to helping individuals reclaim their lives from the grip of substance abuse. Our Drug De-addiction and Rehabilitation Program offers compassionate, evidence-based care in a supportive environment, guiding individuals through every step of recovery. With a focus on physical, emotional and social healing, our program empowers participants to build a healthier, substance-free future.

Dr. Vikramjit Singh Sahney, Chairman of Sun Foundation and Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha), has committed Rs. 1 crore towards the comprehensive upgradation of all 19 Government Drug De-Addiction and Rehabilitation Centres across Punjab. This initiative reinforces Sun Foundation’s long-standing commitment to combating drug abuse and empowering youth through holistic rehabilitation and skill development.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to this effect was signed with the Department of Health, Government of Punjab. Dr. Balbir Singh, Hon’ble Minister of Health & Family Welfare, lauded Dr. Sahney and Sun Foundation for their dedicated efforts in strengthening rehabilitation infrastructure and introducing skill-building initiatives across the centres.

Dr. Sahney envisions these centers not just as facilities for treatment, but as spaces for transformation—where youth are equipped with vocational skills such as data entry, mobile repair, electrical work, plumbing, organic farming, and cooking. In addition to skill development, Sun Foundation is integrating structured wellness programs including yoga, gym fitness, and sports like volleyball and badminton to support both physical and mental recovery.
