On 24th Jan 2012 the World Girl Child Day, Govt of Delhi, Women and Child Department and Sun Foundation launched a campaign on Save The Girl Child. The campaign was launched by Smt Sheila Dikshit, Hon’ble Chief Minister Delhi State, Prof Kiran Walia, Hon’ble Minister Women and Child and Social Welfare along with Padma Shri Vikramjit Singh Sahney. The event was held at Talkatora Stadium amidst a gathering of 4000 women and girls from Delhi State. Sun Foundation films on Save The Girl Child was screened and President Sun Foundation was honoured by the Chief Minister
